What To Do for REPAIRS:

By COURIER? - Fill in "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" print out and SIGN Disclaimer and enclose with Laptop and FAX ALSO.

Personal Delivery - Bring Laptop in to shop any time in Business Hrs. 9.30AM to 5.30PM Weekdays or 11.00AM to 1.00PM Saturday

Fill in "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" on our computer to book laptop into our repair Queue.

We print two copies of our "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form"

You Sign both copies and keep one as your pickup authority and Tax Invoice.

We keep one copy with your Laptop for our Technician.

After a few working days (typically 2 depending on workload) we look at your laptop and determine the fault and the cost to repair it.

If we find that we are able to repair the laptop with out needing any parts and the cost will be less than 2 Hours work ($99+88=$187 or less ) we will do the repair while we have the laptop apart. We will then notify you that it is ready to pick up at the cost of $187 OR LESS.

If the laptop needs parts or is going to be more than 2 Hrs labour to repair we phone you with the repair cost and you say to repair or not to repair it.

If you say repair it, we do so in the next few days (depending on parts availability if required.)

We will call you when it is ready to pickup so bring the "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" in with you.

If you say don't repair it because it is uneconomical to do it (e.g. new screen at $2000 for a 4 year old unit worth $1000) we reassemble the laptop and you bring your "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" in to pick it up.

**We charge you $77 for the time spent to diagnose the problem etc.

Dong, our Technician, has been repairing in-house all makes and models of Laptop/Notebook Computers for over the last ten years. Formerly trained in Electronics and a Authorised Acer technician, he can usually repair any Software or Hardware fault within 3/4 days depending on workload queue.

ALL Notebooks looked at incur a minimum time fee of one hour,
unless covered by our 3 Year PRIORITY FREE Support (here).

Immediate walk in Diagnostic or what you may call a “Quick Look“ is $77.00 (FREE to our Clients)

All REPAIR Service Work Must Be Booked in over our counter (unless by Courier or Post) And Will Be Placed In The Service Queue

(unless purchased from CNC.-Priority Applies )

Minimum Labour Charge = 1 Hour

Maximum Labour Charge = 2 Hours

HOURLY RATE = $99.00	First HOUR then $88.00 P/Hr - Includes GST
Your SITE RATE = $110.00	PER HOUR - Includes GST (CITY offices Only) MINIMUM 2 Hrs
PRIORITY NOW RATE = $110.00	We drop everything and do it NOW! This is in ADDITION to Hr Rate
QUOTE or NOFIX FEE= $77.00**	- Not charged if go-ahead on job after quote given.
All prices include GST. GST component can be calculated by dividing price by 11.

LEGAL STUFF:-

You will need to sign our "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" agreeing to the following conditions prior to any acceptance for service of any product.

· City Notebooks Pty Ltd and/or any personnel can not, nor will not, be held responsible for any data loss.

Customers MUST ensure that ALL data is backed up prior to delivery of a notebook, or any component thereof, to any City Notebook Centre personnel.

CNC can back up data to CD-ROM as required at extra cost, but will not be held responsible for any loss or corruption of any data on the hard drive or CDROM or USB device Copied.

· City Notebooks Pty Ltd will not be held responsible for any goods damaged in transit.

· Payment must be received before any goods will be released.

· Goods not picked up and paid for after 3 Months will be sold to defray City Notebooks Pty Ltd costs.
