They represent freedom, excitement, beauty, and
prestige. Classic models from all car marques have
become beloved collectors items, and in some cases have
had more money spent on them in the aftermarket than
they originally cost. At motor vehicle auctions,
collectors pay many multiples of the original price for
a rare example of a particular model.
Of course this all leads to the need for all sorts of information on vehicles in the normal marketplace, on the race track, and in clubs and collectors circles.
