Li-Ion Laptop batteries cant be Deep Cycled and do not get 'Memory" problems.

Lithium Iron Laptop batteries are able to supply more power and last longer but need to be treated right to last. Apparently they are rated by the number of charge cycles that can be applied before they fail. This means that if you plug your charger (AC Adapter) into your laptop every time you use it, that is one charge cycle less before the end of the battery. They are only supposed to have one thousand (1000) cycles before they are finished.

Note: Replacement batteries are quite often unavailable for:

• models over 5 years old
• generic Laptops
• companies no longer operating

So the moral is don't always use your charger every time you want to use the laptop. Charge it fully and then disconnect the charger and use the laptop battery until it is flat occasionally to keep from using up all your limited charge cycles.
